Terms of Service
These Terms govern your use of the RangeFlux website and applications (collectively, the "Service"), operated by RangeFlux（運営: 数藤哲平） / RangeFlux (operated by Teppei Sudo) ("we" or "us"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
1. Definitions
- Service — the RangeFlux website, web application, desktop application, related downloads, and any updates.
- Account — the account created when you sign in to the web application with a supported identity provider.
- Local Solver license — a license purchased or issued to use the local solver in the desktop application.
- Device — a single physical or virtual computer on which the desktop application is installed and activated.
- Plan — the entitlement granted to you to use the Service, including the free plan.
- RTA (Real-Time Assistance) — use of the Service or its outputs to inform decisions during live or online poker play.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use the Service. By using the Service you confirm that you meet this requirement.
3. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the Service for your personal, non-commercial study, subject to the limits of your Plan. This covers the web application and, where a Local Solver license has been issued to you, installation and use of the desktop application within the Device and duration limits of that license. Your Account and any license are personal to you and may not be sold, transferred, sublicensed, lent, or otherwise made available to third parties.
Feedback you send us is voluntary. We may use it to fix and improve the Service without obligation or compensation to you. We do not publish your feedback in a form that identifies you.
4. Shared content
You may create a share link that lets anyone with the link view a solve without signing in (the shared solve, "Shared Content"). You retain all rights you hold in Shared Content. You grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, cache, and generate preview images of Shared Content for as long as the share remains active.
You are responsible for what you share. Do not include personal information or material that infringes others' rights. We may disable a share that breaches these Terms.
Once content is shared, others may copy what they have seen, and we cannot recall such copies. After you revoke a share, its content may remain in caches for a short time, and link previews already generated by other services may remain longer.
Anyone who views a shared link without an Account is also bound by these Terms when using the shared page.
5. Free plan and Local Solver license
The free plan provides access to the web application at no charge, subject to the usage limits shown on the pricing page and in the app, such as a monthly number of cloud solves and a storage limit. We may change or end it at any time.
A Local Solver license is a one-time purchase with no recurring charges. Its price, the number of Devices it activates, and other conditions are those shown at purchase. It requires signing in to your Account and online activation; an activated Device keeps working offline for a limited period. Buying a Local Solver license does not change the web application's usage limits. Returns and refunds are as set out in the Commercial Transactions Act Notice. If you breach Section 6 or 7, we may deactivate your Local Solver license without refund.
6. Acceptable use
- Do not use the Service for Real-Time Assistance (RTA) during live or online poker play. "During play" includes any time between hands, on breaks during a session or tournament, and while seated at, or in a queue or lobby for, an active table, regardless of whether you are in the current hand. The Service is intended for offline study and post-session review only.
- Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, resell, sublicense, or redistribute the Service except as permitted by applicable copyright law.
- Do not share your Account, and do not share, circumvent, or tamper with license keys or activation.
- Do not use the Service unlawfully or to infringe others' rights.
We may suspend access if we reasonably suspect a violation of this section, and we may cooperate with poker operators or other lawful investigations to the extent permitted by applicable law.
7. Anti-social forces
You represent and warrant that neither you nor any of your associated parties belongs to any organized crime group (暴力団), its members, or any other anti-social forces (反社会的勢力). If we determine that this representation is breached, we may suspend or terminate your access without notice and without liability for any resulting harm.
8. No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy of outputs, or uninterrupted availability. Solver outputs (including strategy, EV, equity, and EQR) are provided for study and may contain errors; they are not financial, investment, gambling, or tax advice. Saved runs and other data may be lost through failures or similar events; do not rely on the Service as the only copy of important data.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greatest of (i) the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, (ii) JPY 10,000, or (iii) USD 100.
The foregoing limitations do not exclude or limit our liability for (a) intentional misconduct or gross negligence, (b) death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable mandatory law, including the Japanese Consumer Contract Act. Where applicable law renders any limitation invalid, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Changes & termination
We may modify these Terms or the Service. Where a modification is materially adverse to users, we will publish the modified Terms and the effective date on the website at least fourteen (14) days in advance. The advance-notice requirement does not apply where (a) the modification is solely beneficial to users, (b) the modification is required to address security, legal, regulatory, or abuse issues. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms.
11. Notices
We may give notices to you by posting on the website, by in-app message, or by email to any address you have provided. You may give notices to us at support@rangeflux.com.
12. Order of precedence
In case of conflict between these Terms and the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Policy controls for matters of personal-data handling, and these Terms control for all other matters.
13. Language
These Terms are published in Japanese and English. If there is any conflict or inconsistency between the versions, the Japanese version prevails.
14. Severability & entire agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy referenced herein, constitute the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
15. Pre-litigation consultation
Before commencing any litigation arising out of or relating to the Service, the parties shall first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith consultation for a reasonable period.
16. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by 日本法 / the laws of Japan. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of 東京地方裁判所 / Tokyo District Court.
